Although Mariah Carey gave birth two weeks ago, she may already have her sights set on getting back in the studio to finish a new album. Her hubby, Nick Cannon, revealed in a recent interview with “Billboard” that his wife is “planning on having a record out this year.”
Luckily for Mariah, laying down a few tracks is within arm’s reach, since there is a recording studio in the couple’s home. According to Cannon, Carey recorded the bulk of her new album at home while she was pregnant.
“She’s been working away, and we have a studio in the crib, and has totally inspired her on so many different levels. You’re definitely gonna see some new phenomenal music from Mariah,” Cannon told “Billboard.”
There’s no word yet on an official release date, but we can’t wait to see how motherhood has inspired Mariah’s new music!
