Mariah Carey appeared on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live to answer a few burning questions from fans.
When asked whether or not more children were in her future, Carey joked: “If Nick [Cannon] could have the babies himself, then yeah, bring ’em on. We love kids,” said Carey. “Here’s the thing, this is real. I’m responsible for the kids until like forever. I look at it like they didn’t ask for this lifestyle, but here they are.”
The singer shared that pregnancy, especially when carrying twins, is no small feat. She opened up about her battle with preeclampsia and gestational diabetes during that time and said she’d rather not go through it again.
“To anyone who has ever carried twins, it’s a totally different experience… you don’t even know who you are,” Carey said. “I had a very difficult pregnancy, but I was alone most of the time. We love Nick, but he’s working. He’s the hardest working man in show business.”
The couple celebrated their fifth anniversary in April with little ones, Monroe and Morrocan, 2, in an extravagant Disneyland ceremony. The family is currently on Christmas vacation in Aspen.
