Instead of being a judge on the show, Carey will act as the celebrity guest of a judge. She’ll be the special sidekick to Simon Cowell, who recently dropped hints that the singer would join the show.
“Mariah is definitely confirmed to be a part of ‘X Factor,'” a source close to the show says. “She is confirmed to tape something with Simon Cowell at the judge’s homes.”
In other Mariah news, her hubby Nick Cannon says the new mom is working up a sweat to get back that ‘Fantasy’ bod fans loved so much.

“She is getting it off,” Cannon told OK Magazine, referring to Mariah’s baby weight. “She is about to be 1990 again!”
