What do you do if your much younger wife complains that you are not pleasing her financially or sexually?

If you are 72-year-old Clarence White, you shoot her in the face.

According to the New York Daily News, White shot his wife, Dominique, in their Bronx home Thursday morning after they argued over his inability to satisfy her. She survived the wound, and is currently in critical but stable position.

The two have been married for three years and have a daughter.

White told police he and his wife were arguing because money was tight after he lost his job. During the argument, his wife ordered him to move out.

While packing, he found the pistol in a nightstand and put it in his pocket. As he tried to reconcile with her one last time, she dropped a final bomb on him: he also did not satisfy her sexually.

White took out the gun and fired, though he claims that he  didn’t mean to.

He has been charged with attempted murder, assault, harassment and weapons possession.
