Choosing a school for one’s higher education can be a daunting task. That’s especially true for Malia Obama, who’s in the midst of selecting a college.
The oldest daughter of President and First Lady Obama has yet to narrow down her list of potential schools but NBC New York reports that Barnard College and New York University are among some of her top choices.

Mrs. Obama shared that the family discusses Malia’s college future constantly but leaves the final collegiate determination up to the 17-year-old.
“We are talking about this in my household every night, every night. And there’s really no magic formula,” she said. “It is a very individual decision.”
Malia, who will graduate from high school in May, hopes to study to become a filmmaker. She interned last summer on the set of the HBO series Girls and spent time on as a production assistant on the since-cancelled Halle Berry led CBS science fiction drama, Extant.
Also on Malia’s radar for colleges of consideration are Stanford, UC Berkley, Brown, Tufts, and Yale.
Should Malia decide to go to Yale, her parents might have something to say as they both received law degrees from Harvard, but we’ll leave that rivalry debate up to the First Family.
