Lupe Fiasco is taking his social activism from the studio to the streets.
The socially conscious rapper has just unveiled a new non-profit, the Neighborhood Start Fund, which will fund and mentor start-ups in underserved communities, reports Billboad.
The nonprofit will officially launch Nov. 13 in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Local entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to pitch a start-up idea that will “solve a real problem or unmet need and be able to be prototyped or piloted.”
