Celebrities are doing what they can to give back these days. Beyonce and Jay-Z raised $1M for charity recently while Alicia Keys held her annual Black Ball charity event to benefit HIV/AIDS stricken kids in Africa and India.

Now LL Cool J and wife Simone can proudly join the list of celebrities making a difference in the world. The lovely couple raised $100K for cancer research, reports Clutch.
Together with daughter Italia Smith, the rap star and his wife co-hosted “Why Fashion Matters” charity auction in Manhasset, Long Island. “We’re going to raise a lot of money for cancer awareness, give some to the American Cancer Society and hopefully make a big difference,” said LL Cool J.

Raising money for cancer research is a cause near and dear to the Smith family. Simone is a cancer survivor and brought along several pieces from he luxury jewelry line to be auctioned off at the event.
