The feud between Lil’ Kim and Nicki Minaj continues, although at this point we’re not sure why, or how this all began. The Queen Bee paid a visit to New York radio station Hot 97 to discuss her single “Back Friday” with host Angie Martinez. Martinez asked Kim, what we’re all wondering. “Is this going to continue going on?” “In this industry what I’ve learned is you never know. You just never know. And that’s what I’ve learned in this industry, you just don’t pick fights,” she laughed, imitating Minaj’s voice from a past interview with Hot 97. “And you don’t pick fights with Kimmy Blanco,” the rapper continued. Watching these two Black women use their talents and celebrity to battle it out makes us cringe. Why all the hate? Furthermore, it’s about to be 2011 — do rappers even have beef anymore? Both Diddy and Talib Kweli have gone on the record saying the two should erase the hate, and make a track together. Kim has put a price on settling things with Nicki Minaj, saying that she would do a song with the “Pink Friday” rapper for $7 million. Good luck with that, Kim.
