After 11:25 am EST, the wait was finally over for the official news confirming Joe Biden and Kamala Harris secured enough votes to become the President-elect and Vice President-elect of the United States. And folks around the world immediately started celebrating the official results on social media.

From Paris, France, to Hollywood, world leaders, politicians and celebrities quickly joined in congratulating Biden and Harris on their long-fought victory—and of course sending early farewell messages to current President Trump.

Ava DuVernay shared one of Trump’s most-known phrases from his days hosting Celebrity Apprentice. The activist and director tweeted a clip of him saying “You’re Fired.” Several other names in Hollywood began echoing the same sentiment, including Jordan Peele and Insecure‘s Natasha Rothwell.

Indian-American actress, writer and producer Mindy Kaling underscored how much representation matters as Harris, whose mother was South Asian, and her have shared heritage. She tweeted, “Crying and holding my daughter, ‘look baby, she looks like us.'”

Government officials from France, including Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, and prime ministers from Jamaica, India and Canada expressed their well wishes. Former Liberian president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf tweeted, “This milestone serves as a powerful affirmation that women and women of color can and should belong in every level of government. Amujae! We are going up!”

Welcome back America! Congratulations to @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris for their election! While we are about to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Paris Agreement, this victory symbolizes our need to act together more than ever, in view of climate emergency. 🇺🇸#Election2020
