Lauryn Hill is back in the news this week after missing a scheduled gig Wednesday at the Citadelle fort overlooking the Riviera harbor in St. Tropez. Unfortunately, the news follows a string of canceled concerts, including those in Tel Aviv and Nigeria.
Earlier this month the Fugees singer also canceled a London appearance and wrote on her Facebook page: “I’ve been informed that I won’t be able to enter the UK for a period of time due to my past legal situation.”
According to Page Six, neither Hill nor the concert’s organizers gave any reason for her no-show before a sold-out audience in St. Tropez. Although the 40-year-old didn’t make the scheduled appearance at the Citadelle fort, she put on an impromptu show at the exclusive VIP Room nightclub also in the South of France.
