The TV personality has gone through quite a few changes over the last year. She and NBA hubby Carmelo Anthony moved from Colorado to NYC, spent months living out of a hotel while they searched for their dream home, and most recently let reality TV cameras into their lives to film “LaLa’s Full Court Life,” which premiered this week.
When does the busy mom get down time? Not often, she tells PEOPLE magazine in the new issue.
“Melo and I have come a long way,” LaLa says. “It’s kind of cool.”

But success comes with its own price. Letting their life be filmed wasn’t always easy for the couple, who together have son Kiyan, 4.
“There were times I felt like I needed a moment alone, but that’s what everyone wants to see,” she shares. “We worked through it.”

“I miss Melo when we’re not together, but giving each other space is good for the relationship,” she adds.
