The Jackson family is none too pleased with MSNBC at the moment — and for good reason! Following a six-week trial resulting in the conviction of Dr. Conrad Murray on involuntary manslaughter charges, the network will air Murray’s documentary about Michael Jackson and the trial.

“Michael Jackson and the Doctor: A Fatal Friendship” is set to air this coming Friday and Monday, and is part of a deal that gives the network the first interview with Murray, who currently sits in an L.A. County jail awaiting sentencing.

La Toya Jackson took it upon herself to write a letter to the President of MSNBC, Phil Griffin, stating, “I feel it morally reprehensible to cloak a murderer and convicted felon with celebrity status, which the airing of Dr. Murray’s views will undoubtedly accomplish,” reports the NY Post. “This becomes even more egregious since Michael is sadly and obviously unable to defend himself against whatever allegations may be made.”

If she cannot stop the airing of the documentary, she’s asking that the Jackson family be able to view the tape beforehand.

As ESSENCE.com reported earlier, the state of California prohibits criminals from profiting from the crimes they commit. MSNBC claims they did not pay for the documentary.
