They have been together for more than five years and have a son together, but model/designer Kimora Lee Simmons and actor Djimon Hounsou have decided to call it quits.
“Djimon Hounsou and Kimora Lee Simmons have officially separated after 5 1/2 years,” a spokesperson for the actor told PEOPLE.com. “Though never married, they have one child together, Kenzo Lee Hounsou, who is 3 1/2 years old.” Simmons also has two daughters, Ming Lee and Aoki, from her marriage to Russell Simmons.
Simmons and Hounsou began dating in 2007; she called him “deeply compelling and utterly sweet.”
