The Grammys were all about Kendrick Lamar last night.
The rapper gave the best performance of the night, wowing the audience with “The Blacker The Berry” and “Alright” and a set that included his band members in a jail cell and Lamar entering the stage as part of a chain gang. He also swept the awards show, ending the night with five Grammys for Best Rap Album, Best Music Video, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration.
The Best Twitter Reactions to Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy Performance
Everyone was talking about Kendrick last night and people will probably be talking about him for the next few days as they listen to To Pimp a Butterfly over and over again this week. But the coolest moment of praise came from the White House, giving a nod to Kendrick with possibly the greatest tweet of all time:
Shoutout to @KendrickLamar and all the artists at the #Grammys working to build a brighter future. #MyBrothersKeeper https://t.co/XM0KwV3jNB— The White House (@WhiteHouse) February 16, 2016
We’re pretty sure Kendrick’s floating on air right now.
