Kandi Burruss Says Hubby Does Not Get An ‘Allowance’: What Do You Do When Someone Comes For Your Man?

The first of the Real Housewives of Atlanta three-part reunion special aired last night, and boy oh boy, the post-season eight drama began almost as soon as the cameras started rolling.

Tensions were high between former close friends and cast mates Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks who have struggled to rebuild their friendship after feeling betrayed by each other. During the season, Parks learned that some of her soon-to-be ex husband Apollo Nida’s belongings were in Burruss’ garage, and she wasn’t pleased that she had to learn that from someone other than her former friend.

Parks, on the other hand, owed Burruss’ husband, producer Todd Tucker, a finally payment for work he did with her pregnancy video that was never released. Both women have been reluctant to forgive each other, and throughout the season major shots were fired—and one in particular echoed across social media. During an on-air confessional Parks was responding to Tucker’s request for final payment and said, “Poor Todd, maybe his weekly allowance from Ms. Kandi isn’t keeping him afloat anymore.” Ouch. During the first reunion, host Andy Cohen asked Burruss and Parks where their friendship stands today and it appears some feelings are still hurt over what has occurred.

“First of all, I don’t pay my husband an allowance, so don’t come for my husband in that way,” said Burruss to Parks, setting the record straight. “I’m very protective, obviously.”

“When Phaedra and I have disagreements on the show, I don’t try to go all the way in,” Burruss continued, “so sometimes I feel like I’m at a disadvantage because that’s going past the line of friendship, or whatever.”

Cohen asked Parks if she felt she went there with her comments about Tucker, and she responded, “No, I don’t think I went all the way in. At this point, I’ve apologized; I’ve tried to move forward. It is what it is. I felt a certain way about the stuff in her garage that I obviously never knew about.”

Welp. One thing’s for sure: Burruss still believing Parks’ comments hit way below the belt. But, do you?

How do you react when a close friend (or enemy) makes shady comments about your man?
