After sharing a detailed list of her past struggles and accomplishments, including the upcoming release of her new album, More Issues Than Vogue, the singer ended her spiel with a political after thought, “P.S. I will be actively supporting and campaigning for Hillary Clinton throughout this term, she is a woman who you should know. A woman also counted out. I relate to her. I’m placing my energy in people and things that evoke CHANGE!” said K. Michelle.

My life has taken me places I would’ve never thought. I graduated from Florida A&M University with honors, and later was accepted into numerous law schools. Then one wrong turn and my life changed. From ratchet reality TV, Twitter fights, to currently making history as the 1st African-American to ever receive an endorsement and their own beverage brand through Jack Daniels. So many wrong turns, but a constant fight to get back on the right track. It’s takin some time. Music is my heart and my life, but after this album I’m taking a break to focus on my other gifts. I would like to finally enroll in Law School and pursue my other business ventures. My restaurant is in build out, my home good line is about to launch in a department store near you. I have two TV shows I’m producing. I also have one of the hugest announcements of my life about my new partnership with Atlantic Records coming in a couple weeks. Wow. Who would’ve thought that red wig, Love & Hip Hop K. Michelle would be at this point? Today I heard my mother cry because she was proud of my current career accomplishments and that’s all I’ve ever wanted. My goal isn’t to be the perfect role model, but to be the MOST realistic. To anybody I’ve hurt along this journey of healing my hurt. I’m SORRY. To all my fans I love you like family. March 25 is a celebration! I will be releasing my third album #MoreIssuesThanVogue when they said I would NEVER have one. You guys made the last 2 albums #1 on the R&B charts, let’s make the third time a charm AGAIN! One Love. P.S. I will be actively supporting and campaigning for Hillary Clinton throughout this term, she is a woman who you should know. A woman also counted out. I relate to her. I’m placing my energy in people and things that evoke CHANGE!

K. Michelle stands behind Clinton and her ideologies on education. She expressed the significance of minority students getting the chance to pursue higher learning, and added that she plans to help a student finance her studies.

“I believe that every student has a right to receive a quality college education. As a graduate of FAMU, my focus is on Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The legacy of these schools has to carry on, and we have to find a method that makes it easier for my people and minority’s to advance. #hillary2016 I have financially committed to sending 1 student name Jasmine to college if she maintains her grades.”

Reports are saying the singer is receiving backlash from fans for her stamp of approval on Hillary. However, the star is not the only celeb supporting this Democratic front-runner. Hillary supporters include John Legend, Uzo Aduba, Kerry Washington, Snoop Dogg, Queen Bey and others.

Perhaps the backlash is misdirected. Just take it to the polls!
