U.S Attorney General Eric Holder has approved a second autopsy on the body of Michael Brown.
According to CNN, the autopsy will be conducted by a federal medical examiner. The announcement made in a statement by the Justice Department spokesperson Brian Fallon comes following another night of protests in Ferguson.
“Due to the extraordinary circumstances involved in this case and at the request of the Brown family, Attorney General Holder has instructed Justice Department officials to arrange for an additional autopsy,” said the statement.
Protesters in Ferguson have been in an uproar since the initial incident with Michael Brown. Saturday marked the first night with a curfew in the town. A small group of seven protesters were arrested for defying the midnight curfew imposed by Governor Jay Nixon. One man was shot and is currently in critical condition, it is not yet clear whether he was a protester or not.
