The lead prosecutor made sure to direct his comments toward the 12 jurors waiting to receive the case. He said the evidence is “overwhelming” and “abundantly clear” that Dr. Conrad Murray’s actions led to the death of Michael Jackson, according to CNN.

Jackson’s children were repeatedly named throughout the prosecution’s argument. “Conrad Murray left Prince, Paris and Blanket without a father,” Deputy District Attorney David Walgren said. “For them, this case doesn’t end today, or tomorrow. For Michael’s children, this case will go on forever, because they do not have a father, they do not have a father because of the actions of Conrad Murray.”
Walgren continued by labeling Murray as an employee of Jackson, not a competent doctor.

Before the judge dismissed the courtroom, he gave specific directions to the jury. They were ordered to convict Murray if they believe one of the following: “he committed a legal act — giving the anesthetic propofol as a licensed physician — but in a criminally negligent way, or failed to perform his legal duty as Jackson’s doctor,” according to the L.A. Times.
Either way, the jury must unanimously agree to either convict Murray or find him not guilty. If found guilty, he will be convicted of involuntary manslaughter and faces up to four years in jail.
The jury is expected to begin deliberating Friday, which is a change from what was previously reported from the courtroom.
Do you think he’s guilty?
