Jill Scott's Ex Declining Her Cooking Caused Divorce

Every man knows better than to insult his lady’s cooking skills. That’s why ESSENCE Music Festival headliner Jill Scott knew something was wrong when her husband of six years, graphic artist Lyzel Williams, wouldn’t eat her cooking.

Scott, who divorced Williams in 2007, is finally opening up on why the marriage ended. 

“He stopped eating my food,” the songstress told the UK’s Guardian newspaper. “He was pissed [off] for other reasons, but the best way to show me was by leaving what I’d made for him uneaten for days on the kitchen counter. It was a smack in the face.”

It’s definitely the ultimate no-no to leave a home-cooked meal uneaten! Always pay attention to the signs, ladies.
