The show is a musical drama that follows star, and fellow American Idol alum, Katherine McPhee’s young and naïve, but talented, character Karen and her cast mates as they aspire to become Broadway stars in New York City. Producers says Hudson will be featured in a multiple episode arc as the character Veronica Moore, who is described as a Tony-Award winning Broadway star who has had to pay a price for her fame.
