In a commercial promoting his upcoming album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, Jay-Z get’s sentimental while talking about raising his daughter, Blue Ivy.

Unlike his other ads, which give fans a taste of what to expect from his album, Jay-Z takes a different approach in this one and talks about fatherhood and his concerns about being a good parent to his one-year-old daughter.

“My pop left me when I was young, so he didn’t teach me how to be a man nor how to raise a child or treat a woman,” shared the first-time father. “I have a daughter. It’s the paranoia of not being a great dad.”

It’s not the first time Jay-Z talked about fatherhood. Immediately after Blue Ivy was born, Jay-Z released “Glory,” a tribute to his first born.

Magna Carter Holy Grail is set to drop on July 4th. Check out the emotional commercial below.
