While critics claimed singer Janet Jackson had canceled all of her tour dates because of poor ticket sales, the pop icon has finally released a statement saying it was due to vestibular migraines, according to the New York Daily News.
The 42-year-old singer was set to resume performances Wednesday night at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. Following her show, Ms. Jackson is scheduled to perform eight dates before a show in New York City on November 1. Dates for the canceled performances have yet to be rescheduled.
Kenneth Crear, Jackson’s manager, said in a statement: “Janet wanted very much to resume her tour so as not to disappoint her fans, but she continued to suffer from vertigo and could not perform.”
