Jamie Foxx Says 'Django Unchained' Will Be 'Amazing'

Jamie Foxx has big expectations for his upcoming role in Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained.” He recently told CNN.com how excited he was to be cast in the film.

“I think, just to be able to work with Quentin Tarantino and Samuel Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio, and to be able to tell a story that needs to be told… it’s just amazing,” Jamie said.

The Oscar-winner stars as Django, a freed slave who teams up with a German bounty hunter on a daring mission to rescue his lover from malicious plantation owner Calvin Candle (Leonardo DiCaprio). Samuel Jackson will play Candle’s helpmate and confidant, Stephen.

A tentative release date has been set for Christmas Day 2012.
