Law enforcement officials are asking for the community’s help to find yet another missing teen in Chicago.

Jadi Delgado, 15, was reported missing on June 29 while visiting relatives in the city. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, she was last spotted around 5:30 p.m. in the West Side neighborhood of Austin and her family said she is not familiar with the area.

Delgado is one of several young women who have gone missing in Chicago over the past few months, and local residents and activists are alarmed. Recently, 16-year-old Armoni Chambers of Milwaukee was located on Chicago’s West Side after a disturbing video surfaced showing the teen being assaulted by a man. Armoni was found, thanks to the help of local activists, but many are wondering the cases are connected.

In June, local police met with the community after six young women and girls had gone missing and two were found dead. Though police say there’s no evidence the cases are related, several community members participated in a march to demand action.

Organized by 13-year-old Aziyah Roberts, hundreds of residents took to the streets to proclaim #WeWalkForHer. “I thought, ‘This is happening to young Black girls and I’m a young Black girl and I could stand up for them,’” Aziyah told Mic.

“We got to start using our voices to be heard and come together,” she added. “If we come together, more stuff would start changing because the only thing changing now is time.”

Most of the missing young women and girls who have disappeared recently have been found safe, and Jadi’s family are hoping she will soon be located as well.

If you have any information of Jadi’s disappearance, please call Chicago police detectives at (312) 744-8266.
