Their secret? Taking some time off and putting family first. Yes, really.
“Absence makes the heart grow fonder,” Jada recently told Uptown magazine.
“People think that Will and I don’t spend a lot of time together. Too much time, actually, if you ask me. It’s always nice to have a little time apart. Sometimes you need that.”
Finding the time is the hard part. Especially if you’re like Will and Jada, who are always fully devoted to their two kids, Jaden, 13, and Willow, 10, and put their family first.
“It’s not about me anymore, it’s about me being there for my kids,” says Jada. “And there’s no one else I would leave that job for.”
Although the couple have gotten a lot of flack from fans about allowing their children to pursue entertainment careers, the Smiths aren’t the least bit concerned.
“There are so many other kids you can worry about,” responds Jada. “My kids? They’re going to be alright.”
You tell ’em, Jada girl.
