Instagram gets new accounts, each and every day. Some are funny and some are helpful. But the new @LoveYourLines account does something that gathers inspiration from something most women like to hide: Stretch Marks.
Started by two East Coast moms (they’ve asked to remain anonymous), the @LoveYourLines account was put into action after they realized how much their bodies changed after having kids. Calling out to other women to celebrate this change, they were both amazed at the response they received. In an interview with Huffington Post, one of the founders gushed about the attention they recieved. “Both of us are thrilled to have had such an amazing response in less than 24 hours,” said the 25-year-old entrepreneur.
Whether they are mothers, or just women with stretch marks, the @LoveYourLines account have been posting artistically tinted images of women and their stretch marks. Both of the founders understand that real women have stretch marks, but that doesn’t make them any less beautiful. The account is trying to promote real self love, and this message can be seen in some of the captions women post.
