The hilarious sketch comedy TV series “In Living Color” is set to make a comeback on Fox this spring.
The network announced yesterday that it will revive the iconic show with two special half-hour episodes that will be produced and hosted by the show’s original co-creator, Keenan Ivory Wayans reports The Hollywood Reporter. The rebooted version of the show will feature a new cast of up-and-coming actors as well as musical performances by special guests.
If the the contemporary version of “In Living Color” does well, Fox has the option to order the show to series for next fall or mid-season.
During its five-season run in the early 90’s, “In Living Color” was credited for launching the careers of the entire Wayans bunch — including Damon, Shawn, Marlon and Kim — and also catapulted David Alan Grier, Jim Carrey, Jamie Foxx and then Flyy-Girl Jennifer Lopez into fame.
