President Barack Obama’s presence in the White House continues to have a ripple effect. As critics continue to write into the four top Sunday morning news programs for more diversity, “Meet the Press,” “This Week,” “Face the Nation” and “Fox News Sunday” have suddenly received the message by greatly increasing appearances of Black pundits, according to the Associated Press. The shows have had 40 African-American guests since January, compared to a meager 25 just two years ago. However, the diversity issue hasn’t been completely addressed as no Latino guests have appeared on any of the shows for 2009 thus far. —CJ
