On the eve of Howard University's 150th homecoming week, police in Washington D.C. are investigating reports of a shooting at the historically Black college.
According to the Washington Post, the university tweeted that they received an anonymous report of a "potential shooter on campus" around noon Tuesday.
University President Wayne A. I. Frederick said there was no evidence of a shooting just a short while after the report was made public, the Post reports. Students and staff were instructed to shelter in place as authorities continued to sweep the campus' buildings.
This is a developing story.
