Photographer Derek Blanks is known for transforming celebrities with amazing alter ego photo shoots, but in this shot, the lensman takes center stage as he’s doted on by a stylist and photo assistants.
NeNe the housewife reluctantly tips her stripper alter ego.
“I approached NeNe about shooting her for my portfolio and then told her that we should come up with this shoot. She’s a lot of fun to shoot.”
Sheree Whitfield is robbing the bank—or at least her well-heeled self, who is trying to make a huge ATM withdrawal.
“This was inspired by the reports that Sheree was trying to reach a seven-figure divorce settlement,” explains Blanks.
Lisa’s good-girl scout image is bullied by her ride-or-die chick image.
“I love this one because Lisa comes off as this quiet conservative lady when she really has this petite Asian mafia type trapped inside of her,” Blanks jokes.
Kim Zolciak and her Stepford Wife-inspired alter ego face off in the laundromat as she shamelessly removes her risque lingerie from the dryer.
“Kim’s alter ego tries to be the perfect wife according to society’s standards while she continues to air her dirty laundry.”
Kandi Burruss plays a drunk driver and the victim of the hit-and-run driver.
“We thought about having her play a bride and groom since she was recently engaged, but then she had someone in her family who had just been hit by a drunk driver so we went with that and she nailed it and really relived that moment.”
Nene and her hubby, Greg, gasp when her alter ego is revealed, as Lisa and Ed Hartwell look on.
Kandi admires Blanks’s work and her acting skills to bring to life a family tragedy.
Blanks greets guests at the unveiling of the alter ego images of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast held at an Atlanta mansion.
