An Atlanta judge postponed the hearing because Cole was unable to give a statement.
Keyshia Cole continues to fight a crazed fan in court. The man accused of stalking the singer will remain behind bars until an Atlanta judge reschedules the hearing.
According to the Atlantic Journal-Constitution, Torey Webster was supposed to plead guilty in a hearing this week, but because Cole was unavailable to give a statement and nor could prosecutors and defense attorneys reach a proper sentencing agreement, the hearing was postponed.
Since 2009, Webster has been in and out of jail on charges of aggravated stalking. Since his first run in with Cole, she has filed at least two orders of protection against him.
Their last encounter was in July and August of 2011 when Webster allegedly tried to enter Cole’s Atlanta home, and, in the other incident, he lurked around the same property searching for her. Webster has remained behind bars since August 2011 and was charged with aggravated stalking and three misdemeanors — including stalking and two counts of loitering and prowling.
Earlier this year, Usher went through a similar situation with a female stalker. A woman identified as Darshelle Jones-Rakerstraw trespassed onto Usher’s Atlanta property, rang the doorbell and sat at his doorstep. The R&B hit maker immediately called 911 and she was arrested. Usher has since filed a restraining order against Rakerstraw.
