See what we’re chatting about over mocha lattes this morning:

Harry Belafonte and the Martin Luther King Jr. estate have settled a lawsuit that will allow Belafonte to keep several documents that he received during his friendship with Dr. King. The actor and activist filed the suit in October when King’s heirs Martin Luther King III, Bernice and Dexter King alleged that the papers were taken without permission. Belafonte now has the rights to the documents that he says were given to him by King, Mrs. Coretta Scott King and close aide, Stanley Levison. [TheRoot]

Centric TV is set to rebrand itself as the premiere network for Black Women. New programming for the network will include season four of Single Ladies. Louis Carr, BET’s President of Broadcast and Media Sales says, “At more than 10 million strong, and in control of 20 billion dollars in buying power, the African American woman is an increasingly powerful, yet often overlooked consumer. No other network has embraced her with content specifically designed for her – until now.” [HelloBeautiful]

Shonda Rhimes is set to make an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live Thursday following the season finale of Scandal. Kimmel will interview Rhimes from the set of her show in a special episode dubbed Jimmy Kimmel Live: Behind The Scandalabra. The show will also feature a Scandal blooper reel and the full collection of Kimmels Spanish language spin-off, Escandalo. [Deadline]

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks has spoken out about court documents claiming that she was involved in a bank fraud with husband Apollo Nida. Parks filed an affidavit on March 31 in Georgia claiming that allegations made about her by Angela Stanton in her book Lies of a Real Housewife are false. Parks says that she, “has no knowledge of or connection with any ‘bank fraud scheme.” [Radar]

NBA Star Alonzo Mourning will be inducted into the 2014 NBA Hall of Fame. Mourning has an NBA title with the Miami Heat and 668 wins under his belt. The ceremony takes place August 8 in Springfield, Massachusetts. [USAToday]
