At 60, Khan is still rocking her luscious locks and confident "Every Woman" attitude.
Grab your diva fan because we’re wishing Chaka Khan a happy 60th birthday today.
Born Yvette Marie Stevens on March 23, 1953 in Chicago, Khan rose to fame in the 70’s as the lead singer of funk band Rufus. With hits like “Tell Me Something Good” and “You’ve Got the Love,” she took the band to new heights and the top of the charts.
It wouldn’t be long before Khan embarked on a solo career, bringing us timeless hits “I Feel For You,” “Through the Fire,” and “Ain’t Nobody.” The ESSENCE Fest alum also became a beauty and fashion icon for many African-American women with her signature big hair and eccentric outfits.
At 60, Khan is still rocking her luscious locks and confident “Every Woman” attitude. We love you Chaka!! Leave your birthday wishes below.
