With over 10 years in the music industry, singer Monica Denise Brown, has her cake and eats it too.
From the time the Grammy-nominated singer sashayed onto the scene in 1995 with her debut album, “Miss Thang,” we were forced to pay attention. Since then, she has created an unparalleled six-album discography. Many of the Atlanta native’s hits, including “The Boy is Mine,” “So Gone,” and “Everything to Me,” have carved the way for contemporary R&B.

In 2008, her reality show “Still Standing” marked a new era for the singer, as we saw her juggling motherhood and a career. Now Monica, who has gone through her share of romantic troubles, shares time with hubby and basketball star Shannon Brown. The two, who wed last year, are closer than ever.
