Trayvon Martin's shooter says he will surrender to authorities if he is charged.
Trayvon Martin’s gunman, George Zimmerman, will turn himself in to police if he’s charged, according Reuters.
Craig Sonner, George Zimmerman’s attorney says, “If he’s charged, he will be arrested and he will turn himself in. However it goes, he’s not hiding from the authorities. If he’s asked, he will turn himself in. There’s not going to be a manhunt or anything like that.”
Zimmerman remains out of the public eye while his legal team prepares for a trial. “We’ve done all we can except ask for discovery (evidence sharing) from the state, which is not available to us yet,” says Sonner.
In recent events, experts have agreed that the screams heard on chilling audio tapes are not those of Zimmerman. Independent forensic experts Tom Owens told the Orlando Sentinel there’s a 48% chance that the voice crying for help belongs to Zimmerman.
