The blogosphere is in an uproar over the latest issue of French Vogue magazine. In the issue, photographer Steven Klein shot dutch supermodel Lara Stone in blackface makeup. Here’s what’s most disturbing about this story: it’s the Supermodel Issue but there’s no mention of Naomi Campbell or Chanel Iman or Liya Kebede. All of this just days after jazz singer Harry Connick, Jr., almost exploded after witnessing a group of dudes on an Australian TV show dressed in blackface and paroding the Jackson 5.
