WJZ, CBS Baltimore radio station reports that Gloria Darden, mother of the late Freddie Gray, tried to end her life Wednesday night.
Alledgedly, a call was made at approximately 9:35pm for a person in need of medical attention in North Baltimore. Sources say that Darden was taken to a nearby hospital but did not undergo surgical procedures or receive stitches, as she sustained only surface level wounds.

The Gray family lawyer, Billy Murphy, released a statement Thursday saying that Darden “is still mourning the loss of her son.” In September, Darden received $6.4 million in a wrongful death settlement with the city.
