The six Baltimore police officers involved in the arrest and eventual death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray last April have been cleared to return to work.

Earlier this week, it was announced that charges against the remaining officers involved in the case had been dismissed. Three other officers involved were acquitted within the first half of the year. According to ABC News, the officers returning to work will have paid administrative positions but will not be able to participate in arrests.
Internal affairs investigations are currently underway to determine whether the officers will face any additional consequences or be fired. Baltimore State Attorney Marilyn Mosby made it clear that she was thoroughly disappointed with the Baltimore Police Department’s handling of the investigation.
