Seriously, we’ve heard Fox News say some crazy things but this one may take the cake: “President Obama’s Hip-Hop BBQ Didn’t Create Jobs.”

Pause. Since when is a private, 50th birthday gala at the White House considered the blaze-it-up BBQ? And what’s the exact link again to our economy?

Published by Fox News Nation, the also-conservative cousin to Fox News, the “hip-hop” headline referred to what other news outlets would call a fun, star-studded celebration for the President.

From scrutinizing his menu options to how he danced, the article openly criticizes President Obama for enjoying his own birthright with guests spanning all industries — not just “hip-hop.” President Obama’s birthday guests included Al Sharpton, Nancy Pelosi, Valerie Jarrett, Jay-Z, Chris Rock, Stevie Wonder, and former NBA baller Charles Barkley.

Fox’s explanation: “We used the hip-hop reference per Politico’s Playbook story this morning which stated ‘Also present: Chicago pals, law-school friends, donors–and lots of kids of friends, who stole the show by doing dance routines to the hip-hop songs, in the center of the East Room,'” said   EVP Bill Shine.

No controversy here, folks.

Try again, Fox.
