Chicago police arrested four protestors at a Laquan McDonald demonstration early Friday morning.
While protests throughout the city have remained peaceful, ABC 7 Chicago reports that those arrested were destroying public property and resisting arrest.
A public school teacher was one of those taken into custody as a large crowd of protesters marched down Michigan Avenue to disrupt Black Friday shoppers and draw attention to police brutality within the city.
Protests began in Chicago on Tuesday after a judge ordered that the Police Department release dash cam footage of the shooting death of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald. The video shows Officer Jason Van Dyke shooting McDonald 16 times. Van Dyke has since been arrested and charged with first degree murder.
