Former NFL cornerback Tony Beckham ended up having to have a good ole conversation with a man he said was peeping into his 15-year-old daughter’s bedroom early Monday morning. That conversation didn’t end up well for the man, identified as Geoffrey Cassidy, who is now in police custody.
The incident began on Monday morning at around 6:40 a.m. Beckham was leaving his home in Wellington, Florida when he saw movement by the house.
“I waited for a second and I looked again,” Beckham told WPBF. “And I see a white male and he’s standing by my window and he’s trying to get a better position.”
The window the man was looking into was the bedroom window of his 15-year-old daughter. Beckham claims that the man’s pants were partially down and he was masturbating.
“I couldn’t believe it. I was like, ‘Is this for real?’ I thought I was getting ‘Punk’d,'” Beckham told the news station.
The former athlete yelled at the man, who tried to run away. But Beckham quickly caught up with him.

“I caught him at the apartment over there and we just had a good conversation,” Beckham said.
That “good conversation” ended with Cassidy having multiple broken bones in his face, his mugshot showing him sporting bruises and a black eye.
“I’m sorry that it happened to me. I’m sorry that it happened to him,” Beckham said. “Because he’s never going to do that again on this side of town.”
Cassidy, who according to the Huffington Post denied looking into the window, is facing charges of lewd and lascivious behavior with a victim younger than 16 years old and is currently being held in the Palm Beach County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bond.
Beckham and his wife Amanda are just relieved that the situation is over.
“If he was that brave to do it right here, I know this is not the first time he’s done this,” Tony Beckham said.
Amanda Beckham said she immediately replaced the blinds at the family home with darker ones so that no one would be able to look in on her kids.
“I don’t know if this is his first time coming here or if he’s been here before or where he’s seen us or how he picked us out,” Amanda Beckham said. “But it’s scary.”
