Add former George W. Bush press secretary Scott McClellan to the growing number of Republicans to switch sides and publicly back Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. McClellan already upset some Republicans earlier this year with a memoir bashing President Bush, according to The Washington Post. McClellan’s announcement came during CNN’s new comedy show, “D.L. Hughley Breaks the News,” hosted by D.L. Hughley. “From the very beginning,” McClellan told Hughley, “I have said I am going to support the candidate that has the best chance for changing the way Washington works and getting things done, and I will be voting for Barack Obama.” McClellan’s endorsement comes days after another prominent Republican, former Secretary of State Colin Powell, announced his support for Obama.
