This Florida Woman Told Cops That Wind Blew Cocaine Into Her Purse

This Florida Woman Told Cops That Wind Blew Cocaine Into Her Purse
Kennecia Posey
By Paula Rogo · Updated October 24, 2020

A Florida woman who was arrested for drug possession is claiming that the cocaine found on her actually flew into her purse on a windy day.

And as ridiculous as this assertion might sound, people are standing by her story.

Kennecia Posey, 26, was pulled over last month by Fort Pierce police after her car was seen swerving in the road. During the stop, the officers said they smelled marijuana coming from the car, local TV WPLG-News reports. When they searched the vehicle, the cops found 0.5 grams of cocaine and a small bag of marijuana inside her purse, according to Buzzfeed.

Posey admitted the marijuana was hers, but claims that she did not know how the cocaine found its way into her purse.

“I don’t know anything about any cocaine,” she told officers, according to BBC. “It’s a windy day. It must have flown through the window and into my purse.”

And many believe her story:

I....believe her. Because Florida. That’s why.

She has been charged with a felony for the cocaine. She also faces misdemeanor marijuana possession charges.

Posey was later released on bond.
