How far would you go to get gorgeous brows?
Even girls who don’t like to wear makeup love to sport well groomed brows. For women whose brows are on the slimmer side, permanent makeup like brow tattoos have been their only solution to fuller brows.
And according to Real Self, the digital hub for all things cosmetic surgery, they have seen interest in eyebrow transplants. In fact, there has been an increase off 140% in the last year alone, and women who can foot the nearly $10K price tag are flocking to surgeons for fuller arches.
Brow transplants are essentially hair plugs for your brows. Hair follicles are taken from a particular area of the body and transplanted into the eyebrow area. It sounds a little painful, but patients generally experience about three days of light bruising. According to Miami facial plastic surgeon Dr. Jeffrey Epstein, “Healing resembles that of a tattoo with some mild bruising and crusting. Most patients are presentable three days later; within eight days eyebrows look great.”
If you can handle a few days of bruising and peeling, then this may be a viable option for you, but we’re pretty sure that brow transplants aren’t covered by most insurance policies, so you’ll have to bite the bullet and fork over the cash. The price tag is a little steep for our tastes, so we’ll be sticking with brow pomades and pencils, but can you really but a price on gorgeous brows? We’ll let you be the judge.
