Idris Elba wants to guest star in hit HBO series Girls. The Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom star had no qualms about showing his interest in lending his talents with a tweet directed to Lena Dunham, the creator and star of the show.
Elba tweeted on Wednesday, “@lenadunham Very funny woman. Can I come do a scene on your show?…I promise, NO selfies…:).” The two met after they were both guests on UK’s The Graham Norton Show earlier this month.
Apparently good impressions were made all around, Lena replied, “@idriselba You are a pure pleasure, an honor to share the couch with you #selfiesforever.” Although Dunham didn’t say whether or not Elba would be featured in an upcoming episode, it got us thinking—there are plenty of other shows that could use a healthy dosage of Mr. Elba.
