Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert’s attempts at making a joke fell flat this past Saturday when he used what many felt was an offensive phrase. At a press conference following an intense game against the Miami Heat, Hibbert used the phrase “no homo” while describing playing defense against LeBron James. He later apologized for the remark, saying that the term “is not appropriate in any setting, private or public, and the language I used definitely has no place in a public forum, especially over live television.”

“I sincerely have deep regret over my choice of words,” added Hibbert. He was fined $75K.

Do you find the phrase “no homo” offensive? What other terms do you think are not appropriate in any setting, private or public? Share your thoughts and comments with us below.
