News broke early this morning — on what would have been Trayvon Martin's 19th birthday — that George Zimmerman will be fighting rapper DMX in a "celebrity" boxing match.
Just when we thought George Zimmerman couldn’t stoop any lower, news broke early this morning — on what would have been Trayvon Martin’s 19th birthday — that he will be fighting rapper DMX in a “celebrity” boxing match.
The boxing match was Zimmerman’s idea. The man who shot and killed Martin told Radar Online that he approached Celebrity Boxing owner Damon Feldman with the idea through a mutual friend. Feldman, whose claim to fame is putting together bizarre match ups, received more than 15,000 e-mail requests when word got out that he was accepting offers for someone to fight Zimmerman in a three-round, pay-per-view fight. News of his choice, DMX, broke this morning.
“The match will be one of the Biggest Celebrity Boxing matches of all time,” Feldman’s news release said.
DMX, whose antics and legal troubles have outshined his music lately, is also amped about the fight.
“I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I f*** him right up,” DMX told TMZ.
