Spotting a celebrity can be as nerve wrecking as it is exciting. Do you try to say hi? Get a photo? An autograph? Do people still even ask for autographs? All of these questions may run through your mind as you try to walk the line between making your day and not ruining theirs.
Like us, all celebrities are different. Some are down to take a few photos (a few even prefer selfies) others, like Wendy Williams, would much rather have a conversation with you.
While taking part in Reddit’s “Ask Me Anything” thread Monday, the talk show host shared that she dislikes being photographed.
“I hate taking pictures,” she wrote. “I only take pictures when I am forced to, I am such a nice person and I love to talk to fans on the street, but the second you want to take pictures of me, I’m running. I don’t like that.”
Williams went on to say that she’d give a fan a high five in a minute, but you can forget about a selfie photo.
While some of us think stopping to have a conversation with a fan more than generous of a celeb, others of us feel like the experience isn’t complete unless you have a keepsake like a photo to seal the deal. What do you hope to get when you meet a celeb?
