Mary J. Blige won’t let anything come between her marriage with husband Kendu Isaacs, not even her friends.

In an interview with Telegraph’s Stella magazine, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul explains that she and her husband are not allowed to have friends of the opposite sex.

“All females for me, all guys for him,” she said. “There’s none of that, ‘Oh, that’s my female friend. Oh, that’s my guy friend.’ No. Not in a marriage, I’ve never seen that work.”

Does she have a point? It’s been said that marriage requires sacrafice but should you have to sacrafice your friendships to keep a happy relationship?

We want to know what you think. Would you tell your mate who they can (or can’t) be friends with? Take our poll and let us know in the comments how you maintain trust in your relationships.
