Yesterday, Hillary Clinton announced something that we already knew: She would be putting her name in the running for the 2016 presidential elections.
She broke the news yesterday afternoon via a launch video that quickly made its way around the Internet, and people immediately began speculating what her platforms would be. Unfortunately, she hasn’t given us any hints just yet, but feminists everywhere are crossing their fingers that by becoming the first female president, she would become a catalyst for breaking gender barriers.
For some, the mere possibility of having a female candidate (let alone president!) is cause for support right off the bat, but others aren’t quite sold yet. After all, we don’t even know her platforms!
What do you think? Would you support Hillary simply because she could become the first female president? Take our poll and tell us what you look for in a presidential candidate.
